Cursed Unworthiness
For a woman to experience her full potential, to walk with confidence and accomplish her goals and purpose, she has to believe she is capable and worthy.
If you doubt you’re capable for any reason, from feeling scattered, exhausted, or distracted by your body image, you will struggle to succeed.
If you doubt you’re worthy for any reason, you’ll get caught up in performance, perfectionism, anxiety, avoidance and ultimately shame, as you run out of ways to be good enough along the way.
Throughout my decade + working with women through their trauma, I’ve noticed an interesting and generally consistent pattern: The trauma of rejection and abandonment, however big or small - whether at the hands of a parent, relationship, church or otherwise - shatter the lens through which women see themselves and therefore, whether or not they’re able to flourish.
After years of trying to heal my inner fragmentation and quantum shift out of this cycle, addressing every angle possible with every tool available, I hit the rock bottom that led to my freedom.
The Most High God met me there, revealing to me how all those broken pieces fit together. I surrendered to His total restoration and committed to sharing this work as my own, once He declared me ready.
Why? Because the Holy One made us for Life, not suffering.
In the depths of my soul I’ve always known this, which is why I eventually rejected my faith wholeheartedly. I was promised good things, but bad things kept happening.
When you’re taught broken theology, you will feel betrayed and fall prey to do-it-yourself salvation practices - whether that’s performative religion or self-as-god spirituality.
